This is an alternative to the traditional 2 day face to face paediatric first aid course!
Health & Safety Solutions have developed an excellent interactive eLearning module to work alongside its face to face paediatric first aid course.
The course is approved and accredited by FAIB (First Aid Industry Body)
The course content meets Ofsted requirements for first aid training in Early Years settings.
The Blended Paediatric First Aid Course comes in two parts:
Part 1 involves completing an interactive eLearning module and can be done any time before you attend the face to face training. You will be sent a link to the eLearning module when you book this course.
Part 2 is a one day face to face course where you will learn and demonstrate all the practical sections of the course
Face to Face 6 hour training sessions:
Participants MUST have completed the online module prior to the face to face session

This eLearning module has been designed to give learners the theoretical knowledge needed to accompany a practical face to face training day. It meets all EYFS/Ofsted requirements.
This online course can be completed on any PC or mobile device. Learners can study at their own pace and log in and out as often as they wish.

On successful completion, learners can download a certificate as evidence that they have passed the course
Course content
provides learners with the knowledge to: Be able to assess an emergency situation and prioritise what action to take Help a baby or child: • who is unresponsive and breathing normally • who is unresponsive and not breathing normally • who is having a seizure • who is choking • who is bleeding • who is suffering from shock caused by severe blood loss (hypovolemic shock) • who is suffering from anaphylactic shock • who has had an electric shock • who has burns or scalds • who has a suspected fracture • with head, neck or back injuries • who is suspected of being poisoned • with a foreign body in eyes, ears or nose • with an eye injury • with a bite or sting • who is suffering from the effects of extreme heat or cold • having: a diabetic emergency; an asthma attack; an allergic reaction; meningitis; and/or febrile convulsions Understand the role and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider (including appropriate contents of a first aid box and the need for recording accidents and incidents)
