The role of the adult in an enabling learning environment

Target Group: All Early Years Foundation Stage teachers and practitioners
Course Information:
To understand the importance of the role of the adult in supporting children’s learning within the environment and how to work and think together with children.

To know how to support child – led learning and develop this within the environment to meet the needs of the child.

To consider the role of the adult in children’s language development, language for communication and language for thinking.

To understand the importance of adults having meaningful, extended discussions, solving problems, extending knowledge and being creative with children in the early years environment.
