Science is based on ideas and evidence and where teachers adopt this approach to teaching science children learn well. However there are many commonly held misconceptions that can hamper scientific understanding. In order to address these our subject knowledge need to be strong. This full day course is designed to improve the necessary scientific knowledge and understanding to best support children’s learning in science. Practical ideas and activities to address misconceptions allow children to demonstrate increased understanding will form part of the day
